Injuries & check-ups

An injury takes a player out for one to ten days; a check-up is due every 30 days. Both run through the Medical Centre, and both keep a player out of competitive matches until dealt with.

An injured player's energy goes to 0. He cannot play a competitive match or train, his card carries an injury tag with the days left, and the Dashboard counts how many players are injured. Send him to the Medical Centre and treatment runs for the injury's length divided by the Doctor's factor — 95% of the injury with the free Assistant, 90% with a Specialist, 75% with an Expert, 50% with a Master. When it ends he comes back on the Recovery Centre's energy figure, 81 to 100%.

Finishing treatment early is never free: 1 for the first day removed, 2 for the second, 3 for the third and so on, each paid day taking off 24 hours times the Doctor's factor. A player injured at season end starts the new one on 10% energy. Friendlies take injured players.

Every card's Info tab shows the days to the next check-up. A check-up is a 23-hour action in the Medical Centre, with one free instant finish a day, and it shares the centre's places with treatment — 1 place at level 1, 5 at level 20. A player whose check-up is overdue cannot be picked for a competitive match, so with a squad of 26 and one place, the check-up cycle alone keeps the building busy.
