Getting started

Your first match

The quickest way to study a lineup is a friendly: both teams play at full energy and the result stays outside official competition. Competitive fixtures follow the Calendar.

Friendlies#

Send an open request for an available date from Tournaments, or accept one of the requests waiting on your Dashboard. A friendly costs no player energy, adds no injury or development, pays no match income and changes no competitive statistics, fame or union points. Use it to test a shape or tactical idea before an official result is at risk. Two quests reward the first steps: Schedule a Friendly Match ( $ 100,000) and Accept a Friendly Match ( $ 100,000, 1). The Friendlies page has the complete rule.

Before kick-off#

  1. Place eleven players on the slot grid, or let AutoFill do it, and name up to six substitutes.
  2. Assign the four special roles — Captain, Corners, Free-kicks and Penalty. The lineup cannot be submitted until all four are set.
  3. Set the four tactical settings: Game style, Attack direction, Shots allow and Defensive line.
  4. For a home match, set the ticket price, up to your stadium's ceiling — $ 3 at level 1.

A player with under 20% energy, an overdue check-up or an injury cannot be picked for a competitive match. Submitting a lineup is itself a quest, worth $ 150,000.

After the whistle#

On your previous-matches screen the result stays hidden behind a Reveal button until you choose to see it. The replay shows the whole match on a 2D pitch with a match log, the events and the statistics. Replays are deleted at the end of the season; results and statistics stay.
