Lineup
The lineup screen is a slot grid, not a formation list: drag eleven players onto it in any shape, name the required substitutes, assign four roles, set the ticket price and submit.
Who can be picked#
A competitive lineup takes only players on 20% energy or more, with their check-up not overdue and not injured. Friendlies take anyone, on full energy.
The grid#
Place a goalkeeper and ten outfield players on the slots — 4-4-2, 3-5-2, 4-3-3 and anything else are all legal. Each placed player shows a percentage for how well his position fits the slot: 100% on his own, 75% next door, 50% anywhere else. The lineup shows the Total Performance of the eleven. AutoFill fills the grid for you; presets save a lineup to apply or delete later.
Special roles#
| Role | Who | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Captain | Any starter, goalkeeper included | A strength bonus for the whole team, captain included: 0.2% per year of his age above 18 up to 3%, plus 0.5% per 30 career matches up to 5%, capped at 8% together. If he goes off, the oldest player on the pitch takes the armband |
| Corners | Any outfield starter | Takes the corners |
| Free-kicks | Any outfield starter | Takes the free kicks |
| Penalty | Any outfield starter | Takes the penalties |
The lineup cannot be submitted until all four are assigned.
Team instructions#
Your submitted lineup also carries one team Pressing choice: High, Medium or Low. It changes how aggressively the outfielder responsible for pressure engages; it is not a separate instruction for every player.
Ticket price#
For a home match you set the ticket price here, up to your stadium's ceiling: 3 at levels 1 to 9, 4 at 10 to 19, 5 at 20. At an away match the other club sets it; in a cup final the venue is neutral and the price is 5; a friendly has no ticket.
Bench#
For an official match, name six substitutes if six eligible outfield players remain after you select the starting eleven. If fewer are available, the required bench is smaller. You can also set substitution rules that name who comes on, for whom, when and on what condition.
If you do not submit#
The club still plays. The system selects eligible players in a fixed 4-4-2 and fills the available bench places. It draws the captain at random from all eleven starters, then draws Corners, Free-kicks and Penalty independently from the outfield starters. One player may therefore receive several roles. It uses the standard neutral settings: Neutral Game style, Normal system, no preferred attack direction, and Medium pressing, shooting range and defensive line. It creates no planned substitutions.
An automatic lineup carries a 0.85 starting-strength multiplier, a 15% reduction. Submitting your own lineup avoids that reduction and lets you choose the shape, roles, tactical settings and substitution plan. The fallback keeps the fixture alive; a manager-prepared lineup and match plan are the stronger option.
