Friendlies
Friendlies are for tactical testing: try a lineup, tactic, role or squad combination, study the match and adjust before an official result is at risk.
Use them to compare shapes, pressing choices, player roles or different combinations from the squad. The match still produces a result, events, statistics and a replay, but it stays outside the club's official sporting and financial record.
Daily limit#
Your current Stadium level sets the default number of friendlies your club can take part in on each UTC calendar date.
| Stadium level | Default allowance per UTC day |
|---|---|
| 1–9 | 10 |
| 10–19 | 15 |
| 20 | 20 |
These are the defaults. Administrators can adjust the current allowances, so the value shown by the game is the one that applies when a friendly is scheduled.
A scheduled friendly uses one slot for both participating clubs. It makes no difference who sent or accepted the request, or which club is home or away. A pending request uses no slot until it becomes a scheduled match.
The count starts again at 00:00 UTC. This is a UTC calendar-day allowance, not a rolling 24-hour usage limit.
Once a club has used its allowance for a UTC date, it cannot send another request or schedule another friendly for that date. When a match uses the final slot, that club's other outgoing pending requests for the same UTC date expire. Incoming requests and requests for another date are not removed.
If the limit changes#
The club's current Stadium level and current allowance are checked when a match is scheduled. If a level 9 Stadium has used all 10 default slots and is upgraded to level 10 that day, the club can immediately use the extra capacity in the current level 10 allowance. If an allowance is lowered below the number already used, scheduled matches remain; the club simply cannot add another until it has capacity again.
Scheduling#
A friendly can be scheduled only within the next 24 hours. That is a rolling scheduling window, separate from the UTC calendar day used for the daily allowance.
You cannot schedule a match for immediately. The game's current minimum lead before kick-off also applies.
What friendlies affect#
Every selected player enters the match at 100% Energy, regardless of his stored Energy, and loses no stored Energy afterwards. Injured players, players with an overdue check-up and players below the official-match Energy minimum may be selected. The usual minimum number of substitutes is waived, but the lineup still needs a goalkeeper.
A friendly causes no injuries and gives no match-driven skill progression. The club receives no match income, pays no salaries or facility upkeep for it, and gains no official statistics, Fame or union points. There is no home advantage.
The result, match events, displayed statistics and replay still exist so you can study what happened; they are not added to the official record. Friendly fixtures also do not create the Telegram lineup reminder used for eligible official matches.
