Between seasons

The season turns over once the last play-off is played. This is what changes, in the order you notice it.

  1. Vertical movement, then horizontal rotation. Promotion, relegation and play-off outcomes settle each club's tier first. The divisions at that level are then rebuilt: staying clubs are mixed within finishing-place bands, while arriving clubs are ordered by fame and distributed across the available divisions. Because a country belongs to its division, a same-tier redraw into another division can also mean another country. Each Elite division champion remains where it won. Your National Cup follows the country of your new division.
  2. Reward packs. The season prize for your finishing place, and one for every cup stage you went out at, land sealed in your Inventory. They expire 720 hours after they arrive, so open them.
  3. Trophies go into the Office's Trophies tab.
  4. Unions are paid from the season pool and every union's rating goes back to zero until the first match day.
  5. Every player is a year older. Players who have reached 31, 32 or 33 may receive the red R that says the coming season is their last; players who carried the R through the season that just ended now retire and leave the club.
  6. The market pool removes every free agent over 30.
  7. Squad top-up. A club under 18 players or under 2 goalkeepers is filled up with OVR 100 players aged 18 to 27.
  8. Energy is reset to 80 plus your Recovery Centre level, 81 to 100%, for everyone fit; injured players restart on 10%.
  9. Replays are deleted. Results, lineups, events and statistics stay, and last season's tables stay readable through the season switcher.
  10. The National Cup is seeded by fame, after the redraw, and its first round is drawn.
  11. Transfers resume. Listing, paused since the last championship round, starts again.
