The pyramid
The Rookie League is the open entry competition. Above it, Amateur, Pro and Elite form a national pyramid of 224 fourteen-club divisions, with movement earned at the end of every season.
Four tiers#
| Tier | Divisions per country | Divisions in all | Names |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite | 1 | 32 | Elite |
| Pro | 2 | 64 | Pro A, Pro B |
| Amateur | 4 | 128 | Amateur A, B, C, D |
| Rookie | — | 1 | Rookie League, one shared table rather than fixed 14-club divisions |
Moving between tiers#
| Finish | In Elite | In Pro or Amateur |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Champion; Champions League | Promoted |
| 2nd | Champions League | Promotion play-off |
| 3rd | Contenders League | Promotion play-off |
| 4th | Contenders League | Stays in the tier |
| 5th and 6th | Challengers League | Stays in the tier |
| 7th and 8th | Stays in the tier | Stays in the tier |
| 9th to 12th | Relegation play-off | Relegation play-off |
| 13th and 14th | Relegated to Pro | Relegated: Pro to Amateur, Amateur to the Rookie League |
The play-offs are two-legged and are played after Game Day 26. Places 9 to 12 of a division defend their tier against places 2 and 3 of the divisions below it. Out of the Rookie League the top 256 go up to Amateur directly and the next 512 enter the transition play-offs — fixed counts, not shares, so the cut gets relatively harder as the shared table grows.
Horizontal rotation#
Promotions, relegations and play-off results settle vertical movement first. Tacteros then rebuilds the national divisions within each tier through horizontal rotation. A club has a level through its division, and the country belongs to that division; being redrawn into another division at the same level can therefore also move the club to another country.
Clubs staying in a tier are mixed within finishing-place bands. Clubs entering that tier are ordered by fame, separated into strength bands and distributed across the available divisions. Each Elite division champion remains in the division it won. The rotation spreads strength, avoids a permanently stacked division and brings a different set of opponents, but it does not promise any club an easier title. Your National Cup follows the country of the new division, while your salary rate follows the tier.
What the tier changes#
| Tier | Salary per match | Attendance and fame coefficient | The champion's prize |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite | 0.4% of value | 1.0 | 3,000,000, 500, 150 |
| Pro | 0.3% | 0.9 | 1,500,000, 60, 60 |
| Amateur | 0.2% | 0.8 | 700,000, 30, 25 |
| Rookie | 0.15% | 0.7 | 8,000 per point, and up to 100 |
